Fragments - Fragmentos

Fragments When you sleep, a fragment of life with you is lost. When you are not here, the color of the instants is extinguished, the curtain of existence is lowered, and what were all things becomes an impenetrable steel wall. The light that illuminates words stops shining and the past, present and future form a black knot overlooking the abyss.

The Dawn - El alba

Image
The Dawn The dawn breaks, and its lament reaches the edges of the Earth, where the stars fall never to return, where thoughts are so heavy that they unbalance the world and make it spin around the Moon while the Sun watches them. And when the dawn slides along the blue wall of infinity, its trail stretches all the way to midnight, only to begin its eternal journey once more.

The Almond Tree in Blossom - El almendro en flor

The almond tree in blossom When you come to visit me I will offer you the most beautiful flowers you've ever seen. When you come to see me I'll cry for not being able to caress your skin, for not being able to tell you that I love you. We met under this almond tree and I will always be waiting your visits while I feed their roots under the soil.

Twisting Time - Retorcer el tiempo

Twisting time The other day I ran into the time. We greeted each other politely and talked about the future. It gave me an idea. He told me that we humans have the possibility of twisting it, like when we wash a cloth and twist it to get the water out, and so the time get dry, keeping with nothing inside. Without thinking about it, I grabbed it by the neck and twisted it as much as I could. From that moment my clock has stopped and I am frozen here, waiting for time to recovery its previous shape and I can live again, making me live too.

The Atacama Desert - El desierto de Atacama

The Atacama Desert It was in the Atacama Desert. We had flown to Santiago because we had been informed of the continuous sighting of spaceships landing and taking off from the desert. Many inhabitants of San Pedro de Atacama had seen these spaceships on the dark winter nights, and their testimonies reinforced the idea that something was happening there. It was night and we had just left San Pedro when several lights crossed the sky   describing a circular trajectory from east to west. Unexpectedly they stopped and descended at dizzying speed. Their size grew tremendously and the ships in a synchronous motion landed near us. The engine of the car stopped and all the electronic instruments stopped working. And as we later commented between us, a clear, metallic voice occupied our minds. "Now is the time. We don't come from any distant planet. We use our ships to visit other planets, but we are from here, we have always been here and we have taken care of you. But now ...

Catharsis - Catársis

Catharsis When the one moment comes, the eternal moment, I will never be me again. And when the naiads arrive to stop this unbearable reality, I will look for you even if I always have you. When the senses turn inward, the images will become fire and sounds into oceans. When the heavens close and the infinities open, legions of emotions will invade the unexplored territories to present to the naked soul the true human dimension.

Love to Love - Amor al amor

Love to love The party was over. The last guest, Alfred, left the room with a sad gesture. He had lost a diamond ring just before entering the party. It was the ring with which he was going to ask the hostess to marry him. Someone had an interest in that request would not take place, so the loss of the ring was providential, or better said, it was very well planned. The maddened love for that woman had no limits, so the author of that evil, once the first part of her plan had been overcome, the next step would be to conquer that woman's heart before her opponent reacted. When she rang the doorbell, she thought of what she was going to say. “Hello.” “Hello Carol. Come in.” Carol paled. Her beloved was wearing the diamond ring that she had tried to make disappear. “What do you want?” “That ring?” “Alfred came back last night and gave it to me. He told me that before coming to the party you took it away from him to prevent him from asking for my hand. He realize...

Azaleas

Image
Azaleas The azaleas had tried to lean out the huge slab. The snow covered with its icy mantle the folds of the long marble tunic that fell from the base of the cross embracing the imposing mausoleum. The angel who accompanied in solitude the pale female figure resting in that empty space, was carrying himself his index finger to his lips in a sign of silence. The epitaph, in Gothic letters read: I await your return. That morning, a newborn cry from the bowels of the mausoleum broke the silence that for so long the angel had known how to keep. It was the resurrection of the pale female figure, the second opportunity to live in a new being. Like a chrysalis, she appeared to life to begin again, in an endless cycle, the adventure of creating for her the time and space, the unfathomable mystery of life.

The Letter - La carta

Image
The Letter That afternoon he needed writing a letter. He should have done so immediately after, in the middle of the battle, he suffered a serious accident that was preventing him from remembering clearly some experiences or memories in a random way. Now he was facing the worst. He was having to confess everything to his wife before they could see each other face to face. He couldn't stand their gaze, so he was going to explain her everything in a letter. ‘Dear...’ ‘I don't remember my wife's name...’ Someone knocked on the door. ‘Go ahead’ ‘Hello. Your husband is waiting for you in the captain's office. He's very worried about the accident you had, and he's explaining him some details.’ Ahora ...
