The Moon
She imagined herself snacking on the Moon. There the
restaurants have as background the turquoise image of the Earth. Or so she had
been told by the schoolchildren that they had been lucky enough to be there.
She grew up thinking about that adventure. Her boyfriend
surprised her by buying tickets to spend a weekend on Earth's satellite.
When the spaceship landed, a mobile surface engulfed her and
became part of the armored structure of the hotel. Then they were able to get
rid of their space suits and breathe freely, just like on Earth. The immense
black background of the sky contributed to highlight even more the brightness
of the terrestrial pearl.
They felt lighter and knew they were living a special
moment. What they could not expect to happen was the fall of the multicolored
meteorite that flew over their heads and broke the reinforced glass surface of
the structure, leaving escaping the air and destroying everything in its path.
Many years later, she returned and, instead of the hotel,
she found a big city. However, her boyfriend's grave was intact and someone had
left fresh flowers on it.
La Luna
Se imaginó merendando en la Luna. Allí los restaurantes
tienen como fondo la imagen turquesa de la Tierra. O eso le habían dicho los niños
del cole que habían tenido la suerte de estar allí.
Creció y creció pensando en aquella aventura. Su novio le dio
la sorpresa comprando unos billetes para pasar un fin de semana en el satélite
de la Tierra.
Cuando la nave se posó en el suelo, una superficie móvil la
engulló pasando a formar parte de la estructura blindada del hotel. A continuación
pudieron desprenderse de los trajes espaciales y pudieron respirar libremente,
como en la Tierra. El inmenso fondo negro del cielo contribuía a resaltar aún
más el brillo de la perla terrestre.
Se sentían más ligeros y sabían que estaban viviendo un
momento especial. Lo que no podían esperar que ocurriera fue la caída de
meteorito multicolor que voló sobre sus cabezas y atravesó la superficie de
cristal reforzado de la estructura, haciendo escapar el aire y destrozando todo
lo que encontraba a su paso.
Muchos años después, ella volvió y, en lugar del hotel, se
encontró con toda una ciudad. Sin embargo la tumba de su novio estaba intacta y
alguien había dejado sobre ella flores frescas.
