Innocence and Sin Crouching among the wheat fields, the Devil weaves a black cloak of shadows. He watches his victims closely: the unwary souls wandering along the barren shores of the River Styx. Whenever they try to reach Charon’s boat, he wraps them mercilessly in a darkness no light can pierce. Then he drags them away. Only to return them to life. That is his cruellest punishment. But in a moment of carelessness, a child runs towards the boat. He slips past the thick shadow. Leaps into Charon’s arms. And seizes one edge of the dark cloak. He pulls with all his strength. The Devil is left naked. A thousand suns illuminate the new dawn. Powerless, he begins to shrink... Until he becomes an invisible point.
