Thaw The snow at the poles has disappeared. The thaw has exposed a futuristic city that, seen from a drone, looks like something out of a Jules Verne novel. We are about to enter on its west side, but an invisible shield prevents us from passing. We can't get past it. In the distance are some bright towers that seem to reflect the sun's rays, but, looking closely, the flashes occur with a regular cadence. A decoder confirms the suspicion that the towers are emitting intelligible signals. After a few moments of tense waiting, the decoder shows us a message: The city of Tedron welcomes you. We have prevented access for security reasons. Many eons ago, the near extermination of the human race by humans themselves occurred, and Tedron is the legacy of those survivors who managed to fend off mass murder.
