The lake of time
Last night a piece of black space came to visit me. At dawn,
a stranger has brought me to the lake of time. I move closer to the side of it.
I introduce my hands and cupping them in the liquid crystalline, and I
desperately try to retain the drops of time, but the moments slip through my
fingers and fall quickly as wanting to lose themselves in the roots of the
earth. So all my time is now reduced to five minutes, those who have been
imprisoned in the meager space of the hollow of the palm of my hand. It's the
last five minutes, very little time to tell you so many things. To repeat to
you how much I love you. You, who have generated my time. You, who have accompanied
me on this long journey with the patience and love that only someone who has
given birth knows how to offer. The lake of time separated us and will unite us
again very soon forever.
El lago del tiempo
Anoche vino a visitarme un trozo de espacio negro. Al
despuntar el alba, un desconocido me ha traído al lago del tiempo. Me acerco a
su orilla. Introduzco mis manos y ahuecándolas en el cristalino líquido, intento
desesperadamente retener las gotas del tiempo, pero los instantes resbalan
entre mis dedos y caen deprisa queriendo perderse en las raíces de la tierra. Así
que todo mi tiempo ahora se reduce a cinco minutos, aquellos que han quedado
presos en el exiguo espacio de la oquedad de la palma de mi mano. Son los
últimos cinco minutos, muy poco tiempo para decirte tantas cosas. Para
repetirte cuánto te quiero Tú, que has engendrado mi tiempo. Tú, que me has
acompañado en esta larga travesía con la paciencia y el amor que solo alguien
que ha dado a luz sabe ofrecer. El lago del tiempo nos separó y muy pronto nos
unirá de nuevo para siempre.
