That was the beginning of thirty years of friendship. He did
not confess to anyone that extraordinary and long relationship, and so that his
friends would stay safe when he was passed away, he thought of confining them
in a box in a post office box. During those thirty years he knew that they were
extraordinary beings whose fundamental characteristic was the sacrifice for others
and the importance that friendship had for them, something that is not often
given among human beings. They lived at his home all that time, always trying
to communicate with the beings on their planet.
Meanwhile, moments of melancholy and sadness gave way to
hope and kind confidences, to the extraordinary stories of their lives, far
away, on that cold and dark planet, but at the same time, the planet was their
sweet home.

Aquello fue el principio de treinta años de amistad. No le
confesó a nadie aquella extraordinaria y larga relación, y para que sus amigos
se mantuvieran a salvo cuando él ya no estuviera, pensó en recluirlos en una
caja en un apartado de correos. Durante esos treinta años supo que eran unos
seres extraordinarios cuya característica fundamental era el sacrificio por los
demás y la importancia que para ellos tenía la amistad, algo que entre los
seres humanos no se suele dar con mucha frecuencia. Vivieron en su casa durante
todo ese tiempo, y siempre intentando comunicarse con los seres de su planeta.
Mientras tanto, momentos de melancolía y tristeza dejaban
paso a la esperanza y a las confidencias amables, a las extraordinarias historias
de sus vidas, allá lejos, en el frío y oscuro planeta, pero al mismo tiempo su
dulce hogar.
