Kubernetes
Kubernetes descended from his spacecraft and kissed Tamor's
ground. He had travelled through space for centuries to return to his home, an
ancient planet at the confines of the Milky Way. Scourged it by hurricane winds
of chlorine and decimated by blue sulphur volcanoes, the negative gravity of
some areas of the northern hemisphere was requiring to take precautions not to
be thrown into outer space. However, in the southern hemisphere, the strong
gravitational attraction prevented aircraft from taking off from its surface if
they were not equipped with the resources to generate antigravity fields. At
the equator, in the transition between the enormous force of gravity in the south
and the antigravity field in the north, strange phenomena was being take place.
Kubernetes approached his assistant and friend Planso, located behind him, and
told him to order the spacecraft to lower the precious cargo that had been
stored for so long in the solitary room of that structure as hard as steel and
at the same time flexible to adapt to the narrow and tortuous corridors of
curved space.

Kubernetes descendió de su aeronave y besó el suelo de
Tamor. Había navegado a través del espacio durante siglos para volver a su
hogar, un antiguo planeta situado en los confines de la vía Láctea. Aazotado
por vientos huracanados de cloro y diezmado por volcanes de azufre azul, la gravedad
negativa de algunas de las zonas del hemisferio norte obligaba a tener
precauciones para no salir despedido al espacio exterior. Sin embargo en el
hemisferio sur, la fuerte atracción gravitatoria impedía que las aeronaves pudieran
despegar de su superficie si no estaban equipadas con los recursos para generar
campos antigravitatorios. En el ecuador, en la transición entre la enorme
fuerza de la gravedad del sur, y el campo antigravitatorio del norte, ocurrían
fenómenos extraños. Kubernetes se dirigió a su ayudante y amigo Planso, situado
detrás de él, para que diera la orden a la nave de hacer descender la preciosa
carga que durante tanto tiempo llevaba almacenada en la solitaria estancia de
aquella estructura dura como el acero y al mismo tiempo flexible para adaptarse
a los estrechos y tortuosos pasillos del espacio curvo.
