Seres azules

-Abuelo, cuéntame un cuento.

-Ya es muy tarde para que estés despierto y además eres muy mayor. Duérmete.

-Por favor, por favor. Me dormiré muy rápido escuchando tu cuento. Por favor.

 -Está bien. ¿Qué tipo de cuento quieres que te cuente?

-Estoy pensando en el de los seres azules.

-Ya sabes que te cuento el mismo cuento muchas veces, pero siempre cambio un poco la historia y sobre todo el final.

-¡Vale! ¡vale!

-Vamos allá.

-Érase una vez, en lo más recóndito del bosque profundo, vivían unos seres fantásticos, azules. Habían conseguido dominar el arte de la comunicación telepática, y entre todos ellos se extendían unos filamentos invisibles que los mantenían unidos. Cuando nacía un nuevo ser, después de que su progenitor lo expulsara por la boca, los filamentos empezaban a salir de su cuerpo. Primero lentamente y de forma muy  tenue, solo visible para los seres azules, y luego, después de alcanzar a todos y cada uno de estos seres, los filamentos adquirían fuerza y se convertían en el vínculo que los unía. De manera que todos los hombres azules formaban un solo cuerpo a través de esos filamentos. Cada ser nacía cuando quería venir al mundo, y también podía desaparecer cuando así lo quisiera, entrando por la boca de otro ser azul, y sus filamentos, lentamente desaparecían. De manera que era muy común en tránsito por este mundo.

-Pero, a diferencia de los primeros seres azules, después de muchas generaciones, sus descendientes empezaron a violar las leyes naturales. Al principio tenían unas normas inmutables de simbiosis con la naturaleza y respetaban a todos los seres vivos. Pero acabaron por infligir daño a otros seres del bosque, los cazaban y los enjaulaban y los sacrificaban. Los filamentos empezaron a debilitarse y a desaparecer, y la armonía entre ellos dejó de existir así como su capacidad para la telepatía. Ya no formaban un solo cuerpo, cada uno era un fragmento frágil, asustado y violento.

-Sin embargo, entre los seres azules apareció un líder que supo restablecer el orden. Sus malos actos se olvidaron y llegaron de nuevo a….

El abuelo se dio cuenta de que su nieto se había dormido. Sabiendo que había llegado su hora, le dio un beso, abrió lentamente la boca del pequeño y se deslizó a través de ella sin hacer ruido. 

Blue Beings

"Grandpa, tell me a story."
"It's too late for you to be awake, and you're too old." Go to sleep."
"Please please. I'll sleep very quickly listening to your story. Please."
"All right. What kind of story do you want me to tell you?"
"I'm thinking of the blue beings."
"You know that I tell you the same story many times, but always change the story a little and
especially the end."
"Yes! yes!"
"Let's begin."
"Once upon a time, in the depths of the deep forest, there lived some fantastic, blue beings. They had mastered the art of telepathic communication, and among them lay invisible filaments that held
them together. When a new being was born, after its progenitor expelled him/her by the mouth, the filaments began to emerge from his/her body. First slowly and very faintly, only visible to the blue beings, and then, after reaching each and every one of these beings, filaments gained strength and were the bond that united them. So all the blue men formed a single body joined by these filaments. Each being was born when it wanted to come to the world, and also could disappear when he/she wanted to, entering the mouth of another being blue, and his/her filaments slowly disappeared. So it was very common in transit through this world."
"But unlike the first blue beings, after many generations, their descendants began to violate natural laws. At first they had immutable rules of symbiosis with nature, and respected all living things. But they ended up inflicting damage on other beings in the forest, hunting them and caging and sacrifice.
The filaments began to weaken and disappear, and the harmony among them ceased to exist as well as their capacity for telepathy. They no longer formed a single body, each fragile, frightened and
violent."
"Yet among the blue beings appeared a leader who knew how to restore order. Their bad deeds were forgotten and they came back to ..."
The grandfather realized that the child found himself asleep. Knowing that time had come to abandon this world, kissed him, slowly opened the little child's mouth and slid through it without making a sound.
