Wavicles 2 What if Bohr’s atomic model were thought of in terms of frequency levels rather than energy levels? Could this new approach explain the photoelectric effect just as clearly? What would happen to the explanation of blackbody radiation, from which Planck deduced his famous constant? Would Planck’s constant still be fundamental, but now reinterpreted as a resonance parameter instead of a quantum of energy? And what about the quanta themselves? If the quanta were to disappear, would this model bring closer together the currently irreconcilable positions of relativity and quantum mechanics—perhaps to be renamed frequency mechanics? Is it possible to frame things this way? What do you think?
