A Little Piece of Heaven

The dung beetle went out for a walk, as he did every afternoon.

His friend the firefly, as always, was waiting to accompany him and enjoy his surprising conversations and endearing charm.

They were happy walks.

The beetle cherished his friend's company, her discreet remarks and, above all, her extraordinary gift for bringing peace to his soul.

No one knows this, but the souls of dung beetles carry a slight melancholy that only blue fireflies know how to soothe.

By some strange mystery, during those unforgettable walks, time stood still for both of them, and a kind of magic filled their encounters.

At the witching hour, on their way back, the firefly revealed her blue light.

As on every other afternoon, he was unable to declare his love for her.

And, as on every other afternoon, the firefly waited and waited for him to tell her that he loved her.

Un trocito de cielo

El escarabajo pelotero salió, como todas las tardes, a dar un paseo.

Su amiga la luciérnaga, como todas las tardes, lo esperaba para acompañarlo y disfrutar de sus sorprendentes charlas y de su entrañable encanto.

Eran paseos felices.

El escarabajo apreciaba la compañía de su amiga, sus discretos comentarios y, sobre todo, su extraordinario don para llevar paz a su alma.

Nadie lo sabe, pero las almas de los escarabajos peloteros llevan consigo una leve melancolía que solo las luciérnagas azules saben aliviar.

Por algún extraño misterio, durante aquellos inolvidables paseos, el tiempo se detenía para ambos y una especie de magia llenaba sus encuentros.

A la hora bruja, ya de regreso, la luciérnaga dejaba ver su luz azul.

Como todas las tardes, él fue incapaz de declararle su amor.

Y, como todas las tardes, la luciérnaga esperó y esperó a que él le dijera que la amaba.
