Lake Garda

A few months ago I bought a mansion near what was Lake Garda. It is a superb mid-seventeenth-century building, but some of its outbuildings did not meet the conditions of habitability, so the foundations of part of the basement had to be revised.

During the first excavation, the workers found a small metal box in which some initials had been engraved. After trying to open it unsuccessfully, there was no choice but to break it. Inside there were several objects among which were discs about 10 centimeters in diameter.

I didn't know exactly what it was about and I mentally asked the World Library. Immediately, all the information concerning those disks was reproduced in my mind. According to the information stored, these were memory systems that were used in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. I visually reviewed one of them and sent it telepathically to the World Library. Again, the images and sounds on that disc were immediately reproduced in my mind.

And it was amazing. You could see the lake with a lot of water. You could see birds furrowing the sky. Birds have been gone since centuries. I think in the 27th century. Someone had made a dive and recorded underwater images. You could see pike, carps, etc. that had already disappeared long time ago.

In the XXX century we feed ourselves with insipid chemical compounds and we have to wear special suits because the air is unbreathable. The melting of the poles has submerged more than half of the earth's surface.

El lago de Garda

Hace unos meses compré una mansión cerca de lo que fue el lago de Garda. Es una soberbia construcción de mediados del siglo XVII, pero algunas de sus dependencias no reunían las condiciones de habitabilidad, así que se hubo que revisar los cimientos de parte del sótano.

En la primera excavación, los operarios encontraron una pequeña caja metálica en la que se habían grabado unas iniciales. Después de intentar abrirla sin éxito no hubo más remedio que romperla. En su interior había varios objetos entre los que se encontraban unos discos de unos 10 centímetros de diámetro.

No sabía exactamente de lo que se trataba y pregunté mentalmente la Biblioteca Mundial. Inmediatamente, se reprodujo en mi mente toda la información referente a esos discos. Según la información almacenada, se trataba de unos sistemas de memoria que se utilizaron a finales del siglo XX y principios de XXI. Repasé visualmente uno de ellos y lo envié telepáticamente a la Biblioteca Mundial. De nuevo, de forma inmediata se reprodujeron en mi mente las imágenes y los sonidos que contenía aquel disco.

Y fue sorprendente. Se veía el lago con una gran cantidad de agua. Se podían ver aves surcando el cielo. Las aves han desaparecido hace siglos. Creo que en el siglo XXVII. Alguien había hecho una inmersión y grabado imágenes submarinas. Se veían lucios, carpas, etc. ya desaparecidos hace mucho tiempo.

En el siglo XXX nos alimentamos de unos compuestos químicos insípidos y tenemos que utilizar unos trajes especiales porque el aire es irrespirable. El deshielo de los polos ha sumergido más de la mitad de la superficie terrestre.
