Her Eyes
That morning I went to the garden to meet her. When I
arrived at the greenhouse, the large leaves of the cove concealed most of her anatomy. Even so, I could see her eyes of intense gaze, inquisitive and sweet
at the same time.
Slowly I surrounded the cove and saved the space that
separated us. I caressed her head, and her eyes, staring at me, became damp. I
believe that at that moment she was saying goodbye. It had only been a few days
since I had saved her life, although I could not prevent her from being badly
wounded by a crazy sniper.
She closed her eyes, and I cried heartbrokenly. For a few
days she had been my panther, and her eyes had expressed it all.
