Entonces el Rey decidió que llevaran ante su presencia al prisionero con la condena más alta del reino. Sujeto con varias cuerdas alrededor de su cintura y hombros y equipado con una antorcha, se le haría descender al vacío. Así conocería el Rey los misterios de la cueva por las explicaciones que le daría el prisionero cuando fuera rescatado. Llevaron al prisionero ante el Monarca. El preso, asustado, se expresó en un idioma desconocido y no entendía lo que estaba pasando. Nadie sabía de dónde venía ni qué delito había cometido para merecer tan dura sentencia.
