The submarine, with an atomic charge capable of making the city of San Francisco disappear, docked at the pier. It was Christmas Day in 2025. A year earlier, the Russian-Chinese coalition had invaded the United States in the face of the passivity of the West, and the requests for asylum in European countries had exceeded all expectations. This massive flight precipitated the global confrontation. Now, all that remains of all that was are the thousands of artificial satellites dancing around the Earth turned into automaton zombies, accompanying the desolate planet in its course through the cold outer space.

All civilizations invented their truths with the same innocence as they invented their lies. And they tried to turn man into a slave of himself and of others. The human being has not been able to discover the principle by which peace is a permanent state, and he will not discover it because already he has annihilated himself.

El submarino, con una carga atómica capaz de hacer desaparecer a la ciudad de San Francisco, atracó en el muelle. Era el día de Navidad del año 2025. Un año antes, la coalición ruso-china había invadido Estados Unidos ante la pasividad de occidente, y las peticiones de asilo en países europeos habían desbordado todas las previsiones. Esta huida masiva precipitó el enfrentamiento mundial. Ahora, lo único que queda de toda lo que fue son los miles de satélites artificiales danzando alrededor de la Tierra convertidos en zombis autómatas, acompañando al planeta desolado en su curso a través del frio espacio exterior.

Todas las civilizaciones inventaron sus verdades con la misma inocencia que inventaron sus mentiras. Y trataron de convertir al hombre en un esclavo de sí mismo y de los demás. El ser humano no ha conseguido descubrir el principio por el cual la paz es un estado permanente, y no lo descubrirá porque ya se ha aniquilado él mismo.
