He was careless for an instant and a feeling fell to the ground and broke. It wasn't just any feeling. He knelt down and began to pick up the countless bits scattered on the floor. A day passed and another day. A year passed and another year. And it happened to pass by the one who sees everything, and knowing that he would still have to be many years to complete his work, he took pity on him and asked him.

Descuido

Se descuidó un instante y un sentimiento se le cayó al suelo y se rompió. No era un sentimiento cualquiera. Se arrodilló y empezó a recoger los incontables trocitos esparcidos por el suelo. Pasó un día y otro día. Pasó. Un año y otro año. Y acertó a pasar por allí el que todo lo ve, y sabiendo que aún tendría que estar muchos años para completar su trabajo, se compadecio de él y le preguntó.

-¿Es tan importante ese sentimiento que se te ha roto?

-Es el de mi madre, que me acompaña desde que murió y es el alimento de mi alma para seguir viviendo.

El que todo lo ve hizo reunir los trocitos que quedaban esparcidos por el suelo y se los entregó.

-Es mi deseo que este sentimiento siga formando parte de ti y que tu alma se sienta arropada hasta el final de tus días.

The ship came to rest gently on the arid soil of Elysium Mons, located at the coordinates 25 N, 213 W, of Mars. The duration of interstellar travel required entire families to embark to ensure that young crew members could replace the older ones in due course and thus ensure the success of the missions. La nave se posó suavemente sobre el árido suelo del Elysium Mons, situado en las coordenadas 25 N, 213 O, de Marte.
La duración de los viajes interestelares requería que se embarcaran familias completas para asegurar que los tripulantes jóvenes pudieran sustituir a los mayores en su momento y asegurar así el éxito de las misiones.
En un viaje experimental por la galaxia, la nave se aproximó al sistema solar y estableció contacto con la Hermandad Interplanetaria en la Tierra. De hecho, existía una estrecha colaboración entre los distintos seres que poblaban los planetas y satélites de la galaxia para preservar la armonía y el buen funcionamiento entre ellos.
En colaboración con la Unidad del Espacio Próximo del Planeta Tierra, consiguieron saber que el pequeño, confundiendo Marte con la Tierra, intentó ver a su amigo, que en su anterior viaje había conocido.
Encontraron su cuerpecito verde en uno de los pliegues del terreno.
Nadie podía explicarse como el pequeño había salido de la nave sin que nadie ni los sistemas de seguridad hubieran detectado nada.
Con la emoción de la tragedia, y por expreso deseo de su amigo, enterraron al pequeño ser en el jardín de la casa donde éste vivía.
